alumni association for HBTC

I believe you are doing fine and have been receiving the news sent by James, the principal of HBTC Surkhet. During my recent visit to Surkhet, James and I had a brief talk about having an Alumni meeting some time in the month of January 2010 in order to hear about their ministry, and what our alumni have been doing in the field. By holding such a meeting, we would be able to know how effective we have been in preparing the leaders and the church planters and also to thank God for what He has been doing in and through our alumni. We will appreciate hearing your thoughts about this idea. Thanking you for your friendship and partnership with us all these year and looking forward to a more meaningful partnership in the Gospel of Christ. Dil, Nepal.

progress in sixth batch

By the grace of God we in the Himalayan Bible Training Center Surkhet family are fine.We would like to thank you all for what you have been doing for the extension of God's kingdom here in Nepal. In this 6th batch we had 17 students but only a few weeks ago, one brother left our Bible School. Unfortunately he had only one and half months to go for his graduation but he could not complete the course. Let's pray for him also. The rest of other things are fine. Now James and Sandra have also arrived and brother James Chinnery has been indeed a great help for us. We are greatful to him also. He is taking class on November 29-30. Lastly, we need your constant prayer for this training center and its needs. Our 6th graduation will be on 3rd Dec. 2009 and we urge you to pray for that day also. Please do pray for Nepal's unstable political situation and its effects ont the entire nation. Thank you so much. In Christ, James Tamang, HBTC, Surkhet.

healing ministry in Itram

Dear prayer partner in Lord Jesus, warm greetings in His precious name. We family are fine here in answer to your prayers. We are praying for you all in the same hope and faith in our lovely God.
I am writing after long time. "God is doing miracle here". We are going to hold a healing crusade in the open air here in the second week of December. Please pray for this crusade to have healing for all kinds of sickness and bondage.
Now our church has 12 branch churches. Many local leaders are needed everywhere to run church ministries. It is a challenge to provide finance support in order to keep full time ministers there. If we could provide even small scholarship support to their children to study that would be great encourage for them.
We have two sisters they are very serious sick. One is Tara Basnet who has timber [tumour?] in the stomach that needs an operation but it can not take place because she has sugar [diabetes] and presser [hypertension?] so the doctor is not agreeing to operate yet. So pray for her to have a successful operation.
Next is Dhan Ruppa sister. Both these ladies are widows. Dhan Ruppa is a cured leprosy patient. She fell down the side of her home and broke her left hip. INF did try to treat her but it did not have success. Regional hospital and INF Surkhet referred to Doctor Binod in Nepalganj. He did advise that an operation could be a success but would be expensive and takes a long time. Meantime she can not stand nor walk, that’s why she is on bed rest at home. It is such a challenge for her so pray for her please.
We are also treating 3 ladies who have mental disorders. Father Jack is providing medicine now. They are taking medicine in our care and are recovering. God bless you richly. We are praying for your good health and ministry there. Nabin Darlami. Christia church Itram.

bereavement in Surkhet

Honorable prayer partners, Loving greetings from Mid-west Nepal. Our first batch student Mr. Suvarnaman Nepali (43) went to be with the Lord on 5th October 2009. We are also shocked having lost one of our dear ex-students. I would urge you all to join together in prayer mainly for his bereaved family. May our almighty God grant them strength and courage to stand firm in this difficult moment. He has two sons and a daughter. Thank you. In Christ, James Tamang, Himalayan Bible Training Center, Mid-west Nepal.
